In this section the rules are submitted which the team is guided when organizes and realizes bicycle trips. The trips are be one-day and multiday time (bicycle campaigns), and for each case there are rules. In rules frequently there are insignificant changes. It is connected to features of this or that trip. If you were going in trip with our team the first time, we urgently recommend to read these rules.

The text has turned out a little bit frightening off especially for the new bikers. Actually it is not necessary to perceive all too dramatically. The trip is trip. With us everyone go, who wants and all not so is difficult. Simply it would be desirable that we nevertheless, harmoniously passed a route instead of losing the time for any unnecessary things. We certainly can not require of all participants for example presence of mobile telephones and in general any equipment. Though it certainly is desirable.
So, some words how we go and why we manage to not be lost during trip though we don't have support and the group is sometimes stretched on some kilometers.
1. The first and most important rule of behaviour on our trips is independence of their participants. You should be able independently get out from any point of a route. Even on the broken bicycle. Understand navigation, watch a route. It is desirable to have at itself a map of district, not more finely 1:200000 (the map of the Kaliningrad region is sold in tents "Press"), and mobile telephone. It not the rigid requirements, is simple wishes. If you are self-assured, can go with everything. If not are sure - be grouped with somebody (it is possible directly on start). Then the same rules need to be applied to group, and inside the group to try to not lose each other from a kind.

2. That somebody has not turned there, where it is not necessary, we adhere to simple rules of a choice of directions on branchings and crossroads: a) By default we go always on the main road, and only when the intersection does not leave doubts, what of roads main. Usually it is that is designated by greasy feature on a mark, or is familiar "Main Road" (yellow-white rhombus), or if other contiguous roads have obviously less significant character, or, if a mark no, simply going directly. b) If the intersection can cause doubts, or we need to turn on a minor road, we make there stop and we wait of arrival of all participants. c) The one who goes by first, always knows where to go. If you do not know, it is not necessary to overtake the leader. If you will leave not there, for you, certainly, will look, but it is not long. Why it is not long - see item 1.
3. What to do, if you have lagged behind, have lost the way, at you
the bicycle has broken, or you have decided to leave from a route?
We try to watch, that all went together, and if someone does not come
to a place of the next stop (checkpoint), we are sent him to search on
a site beginning from previous checkpoint. The problem in that, is what
is it possible only for small group, in which all each other know.
If suddenly we will be adjoined by the bicyclists, not familiar to us,
moreover in a plenty (and suddenly?:), we it is simple all we shall
not remember, that is why we can and not notice someone's absence.
In such case rely either on itself, or on group, with which go. But
nevertheless, first of all it is necessary to contact to somebody
from other team. With whom exactly - decide on a situation. The
general recommendation - with the one who should you search, or can help.
It is possible to call the organizer. Numbers of some possible organizers
are mentioned below.
If the communication is impossible (no network, no telephone), that,
depending on a situation: a) If you have lost the way, then it is
unequivocal something to advise difficultly. But if are precisely sure,
that go not there, come back to a place, where you were exact together
with a team, but DON'T LEAVE back further previous checkpoint, for it
hardly someone will go, b) if have lagged behind, it is simple go forward
- you will wait, or will go towards, c) if the bicycle and you are
precisely sure has broken, that have not turned anywhere from a route
- begin repair, is faster (or not so) somebody from a team will approach
and will help, d) if you want to leave from a route, reach up to a place
of a stop (checkpoint) and say about it by rest.
But in general, these rules for the different reasons can be and are not executed. So, if to you nobody has arrived, be not upset, and see item 1, or observe rules of item 3 inside the group. For small group the item 3 can be replaced on item 4:
4. It is possible to go, were guided such strategy - always to hold in a zone of visibility even one participant of the group. If someone from group went behind you, and then has lagged behind - that it is necessary either to reduce speed, or to stop (by necessity - to return). But for the large groups (or plenty of groups) this rule is difficultly feasible. Same it is possible to say about group of the bicyclists with different physical preparation.
Warning: The trips usually pass without support on general
usage roads that obliges all participants to observe road movement rules.
Remember, that, as against September bicycle trip, here about your safety
anybody does not care, except for you. The observance of rules means,
first of all, - to move maximum close to the right edge of a road,
mainly one after another (to one line), not wag on all right line,
to avoid moving on a joint of asphalt with ground (it very much often
results in falls), and having moved down on ground to not go at once
back, and to look for a place, where it to make more conveniently.
The exception, perhaps, is made by wood roads, where it is possible
to go more freely, but also here to relax does not cost, as shows
experience.
The very dangerous mistake is supposed by many bicyclists (even,
apparently, skilled bikers), taking off on the large speed from
a minor road on an intersection with the limited visibility. The
minor road is designated is familiar "concede a road" (red triangle,

The rules are based on rules of behaviour in a campaign of Velopiter.

Therefore, if you have seen something, detaining you in ways, - say that linger over (and how long), at least, to any other member of group, which continues a way, if the chief somewhere in the distance.
2) Firmly adhere to a rule - at first public business, and then - personal. If you responsible for fire wood, for example, at once after the arrival on parking it is necessary to be sent behind fire wood, instead of to put personal tent. Otherwise, the man responsible for a fire, can not also is fast make a fire, at which all group will be heated.
3) If you have left forward from the basic group, that, having achieved any bifurcation of a road, of a crossroads or doubtful site of a way you are obliged to stop and to wait for arrival of all group, instead of to make a decision on, where it is necessary to go, even if it seems, that you precisely know a route.
4) In a team the people responsible for this or that sphere of activity of a team are nominated. It is the navigator, facilities manager, mechanics, doctor. Coordinate the ideas with them, do not undertake sole actions able to break activity of the listed people.
5) If you were visited by any idea, at all do not realize it without the coordination with a management of a team. For example, the team has stopped for 10 minutes to have a snack, and you, at this time have decided to replace spokes on a wheel. The similar behaviour extremely is not recommended.
6) You should in accuracy carry out everything, that it is entrusted. What assignments without your consent you will not give. But if you for something undertake, you should precisely it carry out. For example, if you have said, that take with itself tent on 3 sleeping places, if you it for any reasons will not take, without a roof there can be, except for you, two men.
7) You should carry out road movement rules.
8) You should have a normal set of personal equipment and that part public, which to you is charged.

11) All things should be packed that there can be a rain, even if under last forecast it do not promise. Necessarily there should be complete sets of spare clothes and the clothes should be convenient.
Remember, that you DON'T CARRY any responsibility for performance of these rules. But the default of elementary rules of behaviour in a team will result that it is more than you in a campaign will not invite. There were cases, when the participant of a campaign was deducted directly from a route. Remember, that to bicycle campaign, in which you are sent, all people go to have a rest, instead of to work. It imposes on each participant of the obligation to carry out certain volume of jobs, necessary in a campaign. The given rules concerns only simple campaigns. In difficult campaigns rules, stricter and specific in everyone case work.
